Backend Developer (Node.js / Java / .NET) - CareerSwift - Remote, US About the Role CareerSwift is seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our engineering team and help build a secure, scalable, high-performance health services platform. You will develop backend services, APIs, and system integrations that power our applications and deliver reliable experiences for healthcare providers and users. Working closely with frontend developers, QA engineers, product managers, and architects, you will design and implement high-quality software solutions. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js, Java, or .NET Build scalable and maintainable server-side applications Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless application functionality Optimize application performance, reliability, and security Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code following best practices Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving engineering standards Work in an Agile environment with cross-functional teams Requirements 3+ years of commercial backend development experience Strong experience with Node.js, Java, or .NET Experience designing and consuming REST APIs Solid understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows Understanding of software design principles and object-oriented programming Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good English communication skills Nice to Have Experience with GraphQL Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes Experience with CI/CD pipelines
